What are the brand and part #'s of the diodes you replaced in your LS7 preamp? Did you go with Hexfreds? Or Shotkys? Or a different brand? I think there are a total of eight Diodes to replace. Am I correct on this? I have done the following so far to my LS7 with excellent results.
replaced coupling caps ( sonicap gen 1) and bypasses ( sonicap platinum)
Replaced the stock tube sockets with ARC gold plated tube sockets
As the main board on my unit was an early production ( part # of circuit board ending in "C" I did the mod to reduce the crosstalk to that of an "E" board.
I am going to upgrade the diodes and then install an IEC socket.
May redo the power supply down the road.
