Yes, the metallized 'propylenes IME are a little soft. The film & foil 'propylenes...

...are not.

However, 'PPMF' in Rel parlance means PolyPropylene Metallized Flattened. The Film and Foils are PPTs...PolyPropylene Tubular. I suppose the tin-foil versions are a little better sounding, but I have no experience with them.

RT = polystyrene. At least some Rel PP-F&Fs and 'styrenes in the early '80s were built with magnetic leads called, IIRC, copperweld. Perhaps that's one of the reasons Moncrieff didn't like the sound of the RTs as much as that of the Siemens Styroflexes.
