"I like old yellow wrapped Rel-Caps (they were called "Wonder-Caps" for a while back in the 90s). The film and foil yellow Rel or Wonder caps are really good IMHO."Well, Peter Moncrieff loved their sound in the early '80s or they wouldn't have turned into 'his' WonderCaps. The Rel metallized caps (PPMFs in their parlance) were fine-sounding in their day, and the more-recent versions, called AudioCaps and MultiCaps in multiple-section versions, still sound quite good. I and my GEA-friend as Two Jeffreys Audio began our now-long-gone business selling WonderCaps, along with Peter's highly favored Siemens Styroflex 'styrene caps, in the early '80s.
They're still good if a little soft in detail, but IMO others, including Moncrieff's current DynamiCaps and definitely SoniCaps, are now better.
Pick your poison, analog, but I'd first replace only the couplers with SoniCaps, allow them to break in, and then determine if adding the SoniCap Platinum 0.1/600 teflons as bypasses makes them sound better.
