I understand completely where you are coming from and I can respect your beliefs. Perhaps we can discuss this furthur someday. I am just tired of having my foot pushed into my mouth by other people.Just a bit furthur explanation. The Oyaide wall plate is not just a cover. Actually it is a mounting frame which is machined out of aluminum and is 3mm. thick. The receptacle then mounts to the frame in four places. Then there is a carbon facia plate which covers the whole frame.
So, rather than just an outlet which is mounted in two places on your junction box, the Oyaide provides the mass and stability.
