You indeed have tried some of the stranger tweaks.I am suprised about the cables though. While I've not tried to hear cable diffs to date, a friend of mine whom I have a very high regard of his technical abilities, has reported such with speak wires and ic's. We are working together to determine the cause of the differences. Fun stuff..the inductance measurements are the most difficult, btw.
