The advantage of the fancy fuses may be in the metallurgy of the end caps: depending on the plating process, gold may improve things through corrosion resistanceAl....that is *at least* in part what's occurring, that being a 'better' metallurgy of the plating. This is what I'm hearing. Also, the connecting wire inside the Isoclean fuse is *much* heavier/thicker than what it replaced. That is likely contributing to the better sonics as well, no different than inserting a heavier-gauge power cable on one's amp, allowing greater current flow to the power supply.

I don't believe that is the case whatsoever....I'm hearing increased clarity, definition, resolution....all very musical indeed.
