Re: Excellent interview. Should be required reading for all audiophiles.

Steve,

"Fair 'nuff. Using less negative feedback sounds better to you. Nothing to argue there. But when you say that negative feedback strips harmonics, then you're making a testable, objective claim, which is now open to legitimate questioning or challenging".

What else could be the culprit of negative sonic impact but negative feedback? I judge my electronics by how close they reproduce what we are all striving for.....to bring the musicians into the home which is of course never going to happen BUT the closest I have been able to get to that illusion has been through little to no feedback electronics/amplifiers.

"That's a bit elitist don't you think"? Yes you are correct and I should not judge one's "Musical appreciation" by the equipment they own. However, I was once one of the "Best Buy" crowd and have come to realize that one can get closer, IF one chooses, to the message the musicians meant to deliver. BUT that is my choice. Yes what I said was a bit harsh/assumptive and I should have used restraint in the remark.

My choice of equipment has come to fruition by years of listening to various designs and judging for myself what is important to me. I am a music lover first and an equipment buff second. Like I said earlier, if it sounds good to me, then I keep it.....if not...out it goes.

Round and Round we go,

Regards,

kenster
