Regarding the Hakko 936--this is a good temp controlled iron. You won't need the anti-seize for this one as the tips do not thread on, but instead are held on by a sleeve which itself is threaded on about 2" above the tip. I've never had a problem with this on mine (I see where you're coming from with the Wellers i've used with threaded tips however). 63/37 solder works better IMHO, and solder suckers do work on occasion. Your post is right on in most repects and is good advice.
