Second your recommendation of 'Multicore'

From a sound point of view, I find Multicore to be very clear tight and revealing sounding, can occasionally sound on the verge of clinical, I like it a lot when modding muddy sounding components.
Kester sound is mellower and fuller, very good as well and more compatible in different applications, also easier to work with.
