Here is a Jensen diagram on how to hook up the RCAs. Evidently RCA - must be isolated from chassis ground. I use only the XLRs and I never pursued the RCAs after an initial test of the RCAs developed hiss in one channel (strange how it comes up slowly, eh?) Another thing you might try is to run the (+) phase buffer to RCA hot and run the secondary directly to RCA ground (without a buffer). The bypass caps eliminated some residual background hiss I was hearing in both channels. I used Rubycon ZA 470/16 polar caps to bypass.

Also, I found the BUF634s gritty until adding a 100 ohm gridstopper resistor at the input to the buffer.
Once these buffers are set up right, they are dynamic and transparent across the frequency range. Don't believe anybody says they are mid-fi. They can be stacked three high for even more jump. I believe they sound a little strident in hi-bandwidth mode (short pins 1 & 4) but you may want to try this out too.
