Shields on line cords, inter connects, etc. should be grounded at the wall outlet end of the cord, or at the input end of an interconnect and the other end either left 'floating' (not grounded) or grounded to the unit's chassis thru a 0.01 capacitor. I prefer a silver mica or stacked film as they are non-inductive. The theory is that you are shunting RFI to ground rather than feeding it into your unit. I prefer using a 3-wire linecord with the the chassis grounded ONLY to the 3rd wire of the linecord. This keeps the RFI off the neutral wire (gd.) of the linecord and promotes quieter grounds. If you ground your PS or pcb to the neutral AC wire you inject any RFI into your circuit. Quiet grounds produce higher resolution of fine detail, transients, etc.Happy Listening !
