Hi Mate,are we sorted now?When I used to have a CD player(use DVD-A player now)I lifted the circuit board out and put a slab of Oak under it.Screwed to the chassis from underneath and the PCB screwed to the wood.Did the same to the transformer as well, as for the transport,I was too chicken.I attached my power cord straight to the Transformer,bypssing the switch,and used a big cable cable clamp.My cord was made by my mother.I showed her a picture of one of them Kimber cables,I gave her 5 lengths of wire and she copied the pattern.It gave her a break from Knitting and sounded good considering it was ordinary flex.Saved me £25 as well.happy Listening.Mikee55
