DIY, eh ? Then why not build your own chassis/enclosure ? Determine the dimensions of it and hie thyself to a sheet metal shop that supplys aluminum sheet in 0.062 thickness (1/16") and have the necessary pieces sheared. Then have the sheets anodized in your favorite color ("hard coat" anodizing is recommended for scratch resistance) and assemble it using 1/4" aluminum angles as "rails" that hold the sheets together using 1/8" x 3/8" black screws (small bolts) or pop-rivets. Drill or punch all holes before anodizing. DO NOT assemble the enclosure before anodizing or you will have uneven streaks on the sheet metal.Happy Listening !
