Great, timly advise, as my girlfriend's Pioneer DVD player has the same blown fuse and the MOSFET does show signs of EXTREME HEATING (black soot on the neighboring cap and inside the case/cover).Any additional advise on replacing nearby components to prevent future overheating? The cap does not appear damaged (swollen or leaking).
Did you ever find the exact replacement (Toshiba 2SK3543)?
