This mosfet didn't have any heatsinking on it at all. I don't see any signs of damage or burning.The problem may have started when my friend put the big smoothing capacitor back into the power supply board w/o soldering it. We had previously removed it to inspect it for potential upgrades. He said the fuse blew minutes later.
With that cap resoldered into the board, we're hoping we won't have the same issue once we get the mosfet replaced.
