I agree with the other poster that mods to inexpensive Chinese tube amps can make them sound alot better. If I was you I would go check out one of the many companies that upgrades Jolida equipment and see what mods they do, they will most likely have the best idea of what works and what doesnt, you could then copy the mods they do. Starting with the green coupling caps would be a good idea. Heres a few other mods that are usually done to these players.
1. Cap upgrades, better coupling caps, bypass power supply caps...ect
2. upgrade resistors in the signal path
3. upgrade rectiffier with Hexfred or similar diodes
4. Upgrade cheap volume pot and selector switch with Alps or TKD
5. bypass the balance controlThese are just a few of the many mods to be done, you can also fool around with differant tubes to fine tune the sound
