Better yet, hard wire your interconnects at one end to the pcb out put, leaving a male RCA at one end of the interconnect only i.e. CD player has interconnect hard wired at its' output on the pcb and plugs into your preamp's female RCA; preamp has its' interconnect hard wired at it's pcb output and plugs into power amp's female RCA and the amp's speaker cables are hard wired to its' pcb output(the output Q's). You have just halved the number of non-soldered connections in your system as well as eliminating half of the male & female RCA's which may be of questionable sonic quality. Also you have maintained the flexibility of connection between units in your system. Some years ago I compared the sonics of WBT RCA's with 3 other brands and the WBT's came in LAST. The purtiest and most expensive hain't always the best sounding, but the WBT's sure are purty to look at. Thought about wearing one around my neck on a gold chain; they were too heavy for earings.
