Jon seems to maintain that parallelling 2 chokes on each leg for the power amp circuit (for the increased capacitance needs???) is the way to go.I tried that and found that it did choke dynamics on my McCormack DNA .5 amp. I tried the Lukasz modification, by unwinding the choke so that only 10-15 turns remained on the shaft. This helped a lot and brought back the dynamics. However I found it much better still with some basic x rated caps across the line and no chokes at all (aka Audio Prism Power Line filter). The two didn't work well together for me and the chokes brought out a more realistic midrange - so I kept those.
I have my preamp on a separate outlet, but my sources are all plugged into the JRPC with separately choked outlets. I figure I'm only using one source at a time so not much extra draw (except for phono where the motor and phono pre are on together).
Good luck,
Bob
