Try using Silver Mica's as bypass caps : .01 uF. The idea of a bypass cap is to shunt the RF & VHF nasties to ground so that they don't force the bypassed cap (usually a 'lytic) into resonance, whereas the resonating cap electrically drops out of circuit. Ham radio operators still us SM's cause they are non-inductive and operate well into the RF range. Generally available economically (about 25-50 cents) on the surplus market.Happy Listening !
