If you have a power amp with a linear supply (most of them), it will be difficult to isolate the CD player from the noise the power amp's supply injects into the AC mains. Typical houses can have dedicated lines installed by licensed electricians for a few hundred dollars, certainly less than one might spend on elaborate isolation devices, power conditioners, or fancy AC cords. These devices will work much better in conjunction with dedicated lines than if they are burdened with having to isolate power amp supply noise. The biggest difficulty is usually finding a reliable electrician and arranging to be home when the work is done. If you get this far, be sure to have several lines installed, since the additional cost will be small. Be sure to have the power system ground connection evaluated and renewed if it looks questionable.
Good luck!
