I didn't think about the fuse protection bit.In that case I will have to wait awhile or come up with another solution. I don't trust my Sony to not crap out before the warranty, so no mods until the five-year anniversary.
I believe my conditioner, into which the Sony is plugged, is protected by fuses (I can't imagine it's not). Would the tweak still be effective if I installed the caps in the conditioner just before the outlet?
