Its so nice to be so popular:-) It appears my simple little idea needs to be explained. This is one of those moments I wish I could say patent pending:-)

Given what I've seen issued by the patent office I wouldn't be surprised that you would get it.

You all appear to be looking at this as I'm trying to create some form of circuit. That is not exactly what is going on here. The wire is used for two purposes to attach to the ac plug and to build up a magnetic field by looping multiple times through the ferrite. I stress in m post at avs that the ferrite needs to be a close to the outlet as possible.

It appears to me as if you're trying to create some new set of physics that are in contradiction with already well-established natural laws. Though I'm fully prepared to be in error. Are you?

Now since a wall outlet has power lines that come in and out to complete the rest of the electrical circuit this tweak works like a charm.

The wall outlet doesn't complete any circuit. If the wall outlet were completing the circuit, it would be shorting out the AC line. What completes the circuit for an AC power line is the load (or loads) tied across the AC power line. Your "circuit" is not tying any load across the AC line since the two conductors at the other end of the zip cord terminate into thin air. In other words, an open circuit.

What your doing is applying the magnetic field or impedance directly to the hot and then to the neutral by simply slipping in the ac plug.

How can your tweak be applying this magnetic field to anything without there first being current flowing through the zip cord? Your tweak is basically an open circuit. Current doesn't flow through open circuits.
