I use a custom 15 inch run of Cardas 4x33 tonearm cable (great wire!) from my VPI Aries/SME V, and a 1.5m run of Cardas Golden Reference between the CAT and Atmasphere M60 amps. You can see a picture of my system on the Photo Album page on my site below. (If the pic includes the VPI, then it is current.) As you can see, longer runs are not needed.Balanced outputs were an option on the CAT that I did not get due to the transformer-based implementation, even though the A-S amps have both balanced and unbalanced (RCA) inputs.
