Not that I read all of the issues, but what I recall was that the Allison One speaker, with two 10" acoustic suspension woofers had one of the best Low E distortion peformances out there in the various Audio tests. I think the suckers needed oodles of power, however.In particular, people who buy little "standmount" speakers that have seemingly impressive amplitude response specs (like -3db@45Hz) need to understand that kind of response only happens at relatively modest playback levels.
So, they will not sound the same as a pair of big theatre-type speakers that have the same -3db spec. at the bottom end, at least not once you get 'em cranking in a room of any size.
