In eyeballing the Fletcher-Munsen curve, it looks to me like the broadest increase in sentitivity at high volume levels is in the bass region. Sensitivity in the 3-4 kHz region also rises, but north of 8 kHz it falls off. I don't know which would outweigh which - the inceased sensitivity in the 3-4 kHz region, or the increased sensitivity south of 200 Hz. However, I can tell you that in my opinion the Fletcher-Monson curve lets a speaker designer know which region he should pay the most attention to.Duke
