I'll be the first to admit I may be wrong about lots of things, but I'm pretty sure about what I said here. Please tell me where I'm wrong. Is the term "minimum phase" not the right one?Let's review:
1. Aluminum cones resonate
2. This cone resonance can be triggered by excursion
3. 1st order high pass filters cause a driver to have MORE excursion reproducing frequencies below their cutoff point than above their cutoff point
4. The phase of this resonance can not be corrected using passive filters
Give all that, metal cones with only 1st order filters can not be phase coherent at anything but low volume. Is there something else I said that you disagree with? Is it the veracity to which I stated the above in my previous posts?
