Re: Hey Quint.........what's your favorite Pete Ham lead guitar solo?

Matt:

Where do I start? :) Pete had a lot of great solos, but I really like his work on "We're for the Dark" and I Can't Take It." With Joey, I love his solos on "Andy Norris." That's one of my favorite Badfinger tunes of all time. I play it at least once a day in my car--by the way, I have OCD. :)

I think Pete and Joey were/are both terrific players, and they complemented each other well, with Pete doing a lot of the subtle, fluid picking and Joey handling some of the real rock & roll rave-ups. I thought Pete was the better guitarist of the two--had better feeling and touch, IMO--but Joey definitely has serious chops. I saw him a few years ago, and his playing really impressed me. I'm not particularly fond of some of his business practices and the fact that he tours as Joey Molland's Badfinger, but, hey, the guy is a formidable talent. Have you picked up his new album, "This Way Up"? Real good stuff, though his voice has deteriorated noticeably.

Glad to find another Badfinger fanatic. We're a rare breed! :)
