Never could get accustomed to that dern grey sand. And come to think of it, I can't remember seeing that stuff on any other beach.
Got plenty of that sand in my hair and ears running on that beach for 15 years. Sometimes the wind there is pretty serious. I must have run by you and your friends at least one time right?
By the way, did you ever see the guy who would dance on the benches across the street most nights at dusk in front of the windmill? He would be up on a bench gyrating like crazy to his walkman, facing the beach and sunset almost every night.
Very inspirational for a tired runner!
