I play myself (jazz/sax) about 3 times a week in a number of configurations, ensemble and jamming. Usually have the standard upright bass, piano, drums but occasionally congas, organ and vibes.You get a good idea of the natural sound of most instruments when you're standing in the middle of them. IMHO, there are only a few speakers that reproduce the timbre of most instruments - Quads have come closest for me.
