for $550 almost sounds like a "no brainer". I don't know how it compares to older Meridian players tho; they were extremely musical. A Cary 303-200 would be great also, but I think used they're more in the $1200 range.Of all your components so far, the Cary SLP98L is the "keeper" IMO. I'd pretty much rule it out as far as causing any "problems".....great preamp!
