Yes. Night and day if you can hear it in some circumstances. Things to consider are copper/copper with silver plating/pure silver and shielded vs unshielded.
Personally, I've never found much of a difference between shielded vs unshielded. I have found a difference between stranded and solid core copper and definitely between OFC and OCC copper. I have found the performance of OCC copper lives up to the marketing blurb. I am running Neotech OCC quad rectangular solid core cables and the sound is ludicrously fat without losing out on any detail or dynamics at all.
Terminations make teeny differences too. Personally, I have pure silver WBT spades on the amp end and silver over tellurium copper on the other. I noted the difference moving from gold plated copper to silver plating immediately. But that's just me.
Perhaps some advice is to buy some decent bulk speaker cable and terminate yourself. Break them in for a few weeks and see what you think then. You can buy relatively inexpensive bulk cables from Furutech, Cardas, Neotech and more by the meter and decent spades are cheap enough too.
