Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Hum appears out of nowhere on vintage integrated amp (all functions): is it toast/repairable ($...)?

Sony TA-1055. By "out of nowhere" I mean I didn't touch anything - no swapping of components, carts, cables, etc. Audible (annoyingly so...) on both speakers and headphones. Trying another power outlet has no effect.

It just happened during a playback, and is simultaneous on all functions (Phono, Aux, etc.). Shutting the amp off and turning it back on removes the hum completely... but it always creeps back in again at one point in time. It may leave me alone for about an hour, but that's the maximum I think, when I'm lucky...

So does this sound to you guys like something someone could fix easily? Since I doubt I could do this kind of service myself, I have someone else in mind. But they also sell fine vintage equipment, so starting afresh is an option if repair is too costly.
