Do ask yr boss!!!a vertical whip is an omni - for our purposes and in this case ! so it needs to have minimal early reflections nearby including off the ground and above roofs.
aka Higher the better!
sooooo.
Up on the HVAC! and do be sensible up there, and wait for a scheduled service check*, thus min'ing cost to the business. * 'Sick-buildng' minima, and L'a checks, at least, which can be performance-type at the same time - like pad-cleanings, etc?
OOThing, Tandy/RS USED to sell an in-line (coax) signal attenuator, near the tuner okay?
And if Minnesota is at all 'in twister-alley', lightning and all that. Go see a local radio company and get an in-line lghtning block (gaseous arrestor) which you run some thick copper off. You may need to buy some self amalgamating tapes too as the connectors MIGHT* be a bit-big for RG11 so even more with RG6! OR tap in to the HVAC unit's lightning ground path. Tandy used to sell these too with BIG screw connectors.
