Try this test.1. Put the meter in a resistance testing mode such that you get a readout of the ohms seen by the meter. In other words not just the beeping coninuity testing mode but the acual R testing mode.
2. test the test lead resistance and note the value.
3. now retest to see the resistance between the three wires and note each resistance.
The reason I am suggesting this particular test is you may just be testing the coils of a 3 phase brushless DC motor. If the resistance is a few (maybe up to a bout 10ohms or so probably) ohms higher while testing the resistance seen across the motor coils compared to just the meter leads then the results point to theis being very likely a correct assumption. BTW a reading of say around 10ohms through the motor coils would be a very good sign that the motor is fine.
It is interesting that the mmanufacturter would not have used a servo motor for this app though.
