directional antennas have to be pointed at stations to be worth having, and
in most US cities AFIAKTell the use of towers to provide sites for several transmitters is very rare.
I am fortunate to live in a city where nearly all stations transmit from one tall tower on top of one of the tallest hills.
You need to KNOW from where your preferred stations transmit / how many directions you need to point the antenna/s along.
FM just is directionally dependent. Were you not aware of that?
