Guess I missed out. I owned various cassette decks in the past (HK, Tandberg, Denon, Pioneer, Aiwa) but only one Nak. I believe it was a 480, likely the bottom of their line. I felt one HK, the Pioneer, and even the Aiwa offered better performance. Probably I should have tried something higher in their lineup.
One point made me reluctant. I read several sources saying recordings made on Naks would not preform well on other decks, and a significant part of my taping was for playback in the car. In hindsight that may have been silly -- would I ever hear the difference in the car anyway? ;^)
