Hi.

What TV is it? Old big tube sucker or slimlined LCD panel TV?

If it is an old CRT TV, chances are it could get a HV 'hot' chassis. Adding a headphone with a standard headphone jack can either blow the TV instantly or kill whoever touches the jack.

Get the full schematic to learn more about it before you start a move.

The best bet is to tap audio signal out from the audio O/P jacks which should come with the TV.

Fiddling with a TV is no joke.
