Howdy
Perhaps someone with more experience will help more than this, but it seems that you have an intermittent open circuit. If you are handy (and careful) you can run it with the cover off and flex the circuit board gently by touching it with your finger here and there to see where the problem might be. (Near the connectors is a common failure.)
