I use a Topaz with my Digital gear( 2 players and a DAC ) they take maybe 100 watts of power and my Topaz is rated for 480 watts, they say it is best to have a lot more rated watts then you need. All I know is it made a very nice improvement in my system. From what I have been told is it cleans the power going in but it does not let the digital hash come out and dirty the AC lines, Digital can be very dirty. Mine did not fix a ground loop problem. I had to track the problem down. I think that a past ower of the Topaz changed to a duplex receptacle and forgot something because I looked and the netural was not grounded inside, just a reg. hookup. I just know it works and works good. Ken
