I don't think you'll find that additional isolation for your CD player from your other components is worth foregoing the benefits that balanced power would bring to your CDP. Even if your CDP has a 2 pronged, ungrounded AC plug, typically you still get the benefits of balanced power as the ps 'ground' is connected to the signalground on the CDP, which in turn is connected via interconnects to your other component's grounds.
You might consider doing what Equitech does, provide additional filtering as a 'branch' on your balanced conditioner. Equitech uses commercial metal encased filters. I don't know the manufaturer or model.
Kevin Haskins @ diycable.com sells a power conditioner/isolation pc board and parts to populate it. This would allow you provide balanced power to your cdp, while still providing some level of isolation from your other components.
