I had encountered this idea elsewhere, but did not realize its significance. This is what I will do when I construct a house. For now, I have a lead on a 1.5 kVA balanced torroid transformer that I will fit into a chassis box. The CDP will operater throung a 2.5 kVA isolation to block its noise.
You say:
"All transformer, other than variacs (autotransformers) are isolation transformers."Then, if my interest is to block RFI and transient junk on the line, rather than to deal with ground loops (there are none to speak of), is an isolation Xformer redundant?
Thanks.
