HowdyI'm not an expert here and it's academic in that Pat didn't hear a difference, but doesn't that analysis assume that the distance from the pairs of wires (e.g. one coil to the next) is greater than the distance between the wires in the pair?
Often with a loosely twisted pair you'll get as close a contact from a wire to itself at another point on the coil.
I was just worried about coupling from one coil to another causing problems when a simple snake could more obviously avoid it.
