Access time by the SBT may be something to consider (as was said below), so you may want to research access time with a large library.

That said, Walmart is selling the Seagate 500GB GoFlex portable hard drive for $49. If the SBT doesn't provide USB power, this would not be an option as this drive is not self-powered.

If you want to go the USB flash drive route, check out meritline.com as their prices are pretty low (eg; <$50 + free shipping for a 32GB USB flash drive, <$12 + free shipping for an 8GB USB flash drive).

Another option to consider is an SD card + card reader. Again, the site above usually has very good pricing.
