Same here, I like the ASIO with Winamp better than with KS. ASIO with FOOBAR 9.5.5. didn't excite me prefer KS with the FOOBAR. ASIO with J River sounds decent (sometimes I think smoother)than all of them. Subtle differences that aren't always noticeable.
I arrived at these conclusions not by any sort of listening tests or trials. Just quick assessments once a month or so. The idea of "testing" oneself in an area of artistic enjoyment & pleasure is beyond stupid to me.
With that said, I think we all do a disservice by labeling anything "better". There are numerous subtle differences in digital playback. If any of us changed the line stage, interconnect, speaker wire or just closed the drapes, are opinions would likely change regarding what is "better"
There is no "better" there is only preference.
