RE: Recording Vinyl with Echo Indigo IO hi freq noise

Hi Ralph,

First try the Echo Indigo IO on a different laptop to hear if the noise characteristic and level are different. The computer is a very electrically noisy device. Some of that noise can leak into the audio device. It can manifest itself as just noise, or worse it can intermodulate with the music, giving you digitites. For this reason alone I do not use internal sound cards. I use a RME Fireface 800 external audio interface with the 1394 interconnect. I got noise interference even via the 1394. I took care of that with ferrite clamps.
