RE: ESI Juli@ under Win XP - no digital outputs visible

Information:

1. Don't run any registry cleaner software unless you really know why you should. It can mess up your system very badly.

2. Any time you re-install Windows, you may have to reinstall drivers.

3. I've uninstalled the Juli@ drivers and re-installed it using the standard Control Panel/System/hardware/Device Manager method. I would not advise using a 3rd party uninstaller as fmak recommends unless the standard procedure fails.

4. In the Windows control panel/ sounds and audio devices dialog, the Juli@ outputs are listed as Juli@ CH12, Juli@ CH34 and Juli@ CH1234. If you choose DirectSound or Waveout (MME) in JRMC, MC will offer the same set of choices.

5. If you choose ASIO as the output mode in JRMC, you select the channel offset =0 for analog output or =2 for digital output.

---

advice:

- first check in Windows control panel/ Sounds and audio devices dialog to see whether Juli@ CH34 is listed as an output device.

- If not, uninstall the Juli@ drivers and re-install.

- If Juli@ CH34 is listed, set output mode=DirectSound in JRMC. In the output mode settings dialog, look for Juli@ CH34 in the list of devices. Slect it and try playing music to that device.

- If you want to use ASIO, change the output mode to ASIO. In the output mode settings, change the channel offset to 2. Try playing music.

Report back on your success or failure.
