You tweaked my memory; each 6C33C does have a 680-ohm grid-stopper resistor in series with
the output of the driver tube, not 98-ohm ones. I think of a "grid resistor" as a resistor that goes
between the grid and ground in a common cathode topology, therefore in parallel with the input
to the grid. I think of a "grid-stopper" resistor as one that is in series with the audio signal and
is used only if necessary to prevent high-frequency oscillation. That is the function of the 680-
ohm resistor of which we are speaking.
