Hello Al,Thanks for your comments. I run 12V DC to the 12SX7 filaments, but I guess that wouldn't make it immune to the phenomenon you describe. The battery test is a good idea. I thought I read somewhere that the new M-60's take the driver/preamp tube filaments from the larger transformer that supplies the 6AS7's instead of the driver supply transformer. Wonder why this was changed (if it was)?
