Schottky's are a lot different from FREDs, but I would have to re-read the description in order to
recount it correctly. Suffice to say that Schottky's produce no spurious hf products, whereas
FREDs do a little. I do remember Mark's earlier post re his experience with the Schottky diodes. I
was even more curious about TV damper diodes. There are several favorable comments on the
DIY audio asylum that suggest these devices are superior sounding even to tube rectification (if
one is a fan of the latter) and afford many of the advantages of ss devices.
