I have seen such clamps; they are ideal for the amp-cable-speaker interface. I wish someone
would produce them for that purpose. Do you know where or how to purchase some? I also take
it that you DO use a light coating of silver solder on your bare wire ends, prior to clamping.When you talk about "adequate crimping pressure", you are touching on the dilemma. In order
to crimp wires together one needs a metal tube into which the wires to be connected can be
inserted (provided one is not using a spade-type connector, which we agree is to be avoided if
possible) AND a suitable crimping tool. I have yet to find one that is really adequate for this job.
